Before Taking Tadalafil

Inform your healthcare provider about your full medical history, especially if you have or have had:

• Heart problems (heart attack, irregular heartbeat, angina, chest pain, narrowed aortic valve, heart failure)
• Heart surgery in the past 6 months
• Pulmonary hypertension
• Stroke
• Low or uncontrolled high blood pressure
• Deformed penis shape
• Erection lasting longer than 4 hours
• Blood cell disorders (sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, leukemia)
• Eye diseases (retinitis pigmentosa or severe vision loss, including NAION)
• Bleeding problems or stomach ulcers
• Liver or kidney problems (including dialysis)
• Allergic reactions to any medication

Drug Interactions

Tell your doctor about all the medicines, vitamins, or herbal supplements you use.

Avoid combining tadalafil with:

• Nitrates or nitric oxide donors
• Guanylate cyclase stimulators
• Alpha-blockers such as Hytrin, Flomax, Cardura, Minipress, Uroxatral, Jalyn, or Rapaflo
• HIV protease inhibitors such as ritonavir, indinavir, saquinavir, or atazanavir
• Oral antifungal medications
• Certain antibiotics
• Other erectile dysfunction medications

Do not use tadalafil with REVATIO or other PDE5 inhibitors used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).

• HIV protease inhibitors: such as Norvir, Crixivan, Fortovase, Invirase, or Reyataz
• Oral antifungal medicines
• Certain antibiotics
• Other erectile dysfunction medications

Important Note

Sildenafil is also the active ingredient in REVATIO, a medication used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Do not use Sildenafil with REVATIO or any other PAH treatments containing Sildenafil or other PDE5 inhibitors (e.g., Adcirca [tadalafil]).

• Low blood sugar: symptoms such as sweating, mood changes, blurred vision, dizziness, or a fast heartbeat.
• Dehydration: reduced urination, or swelling in the legs, ankles, or feet.
• Severe stomach pain: especially in the upper abdomen that may spread to the back, with or without vomiting, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or pale-colored stools.
• Thyroid tumors: semaglutide may increase the risk of thyroid gland tumors, including medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC). Symptoms may include a lump or swelling in the neck, hoarseness, trouble swallowing, or shortness of breath.
• Mental health changes: sudden mood shifts, depression, suicidal thoughts, or unusual behavior.

If you notice any of these symptoms, stop taking the medication and contact your doctor right away.
